No municipal water
The Village of Twin Lakes has no municipal water service. Homes run on community wells or private wells.

Schools
Three school districts serve village addresses. The village office names them as Lakewood, Randall and Trevor-Wilmot.
High school students attend Wilmot Union High School, about 5 miles east. The teams are the Panthers.
Powers Lake addresses in the Town of Randall generally feed Wheatland Center for elementary and middle grades, then Wilmot Union.
The village says it plainly: if you are unsure of your district, contact the village office or the school. District lines do not follow ZIP boundaries.
Wisconsin open enrollment lets any Wisconsin student in 4K through grade 12 apply to a district other than their own. The window runs February 2 through April 30 at 4 p.m. Late applications are not accepted. Either district can say no for reasons set in state law, and you can appeal to the state within 30 days. The branch opened in January 1993. The Community Library is a joint agreement among the Village of Twin Lakes, the Town of Randall, the Village of Salem Lakes and the Village of Paddock Lake. A second branch sits at 24615 89th Street in Salem Lakes, and a card works at both.

The Aquanut Water Shows
The Twin Lakes Aquanuts perform free water ski shows at Lance Park on Lake Mary. Shows run Wednesday and Saturday at 6:30 p.m. from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.

Richard Bong State Recreation Area covers 4,515 acres about 15 minutes northeast. It has the only ATV trails in southeastern Wisconsin, 30 miles of hiking trails, camping and a managed beach on Wolf Lake.

The commute
The Antioch Metra station at 305 Depot Street in Antioch, Illinois is about 20 minutes southeast. It is the end of the line on Metra's North Central Service. The ride to Chicago Union Station runs about an hour, and the same line stops at O'Hare Transfer.

Summer is the busy season. The lakes fill, Lance Park fills, and Country Thunder fills everything for 4 days.
Fall brings the orchards and Friday night football at Wilmot.
Winter brings ice fishing on Lake Mary, Lake Elizabeth, Powers Lake and Lake Benedict, sledding at Mueller Park and skiing at Wilmot Mountain. Most lake communities in this region go quiet from November to April. Wilmot gives this one winter traffic.
